About JT

My story and ethos at Reset by JT
Hi, I’m Jonathan (JT for short) and I’m a massage therapist based in Charton Kings, Cheltenham. I hold a Level 3 Diploma (Distinction) in Sports massage from Cotswold Academy and a Level 3 Certificate in Swedish massage from Cheltenham School of Complementary Therapy, so can offer a range of treatment options to meet your needs. I’ve been interested in massage and its benefits for many years, but only decided to pursue it as a career a few years ago when I decided to do a course in Swedish massage, and that was when I really fell in love with the specialism. It really reinforced what I already knew about its impact on health and wellbeing, and ignited a passion within me. I haven’t looked back and love giving massages and seeing the amazing effect it has on people – we all live such busy lives, so it’s important that we take some time out and recharge, massage can be the perfect way to do that. Recently I decided to add to my massage skills by doing a course in Sports Massage, which has taken my knowledge of the human body and its muscles to another level – who knew we had two different sets of pecs! I’m really enjoying developing my own fusion treatments incorporating elements of both styles, whilst obviously staying true to the separate disciplines as well. I’m not done yet though and intend to add pregnancy massage to my treatment portfolio soon!
I am fully-insured through the Complementary Therapists Association and Balens Insurance Brokers, ICO registered and GDPR-compliant - I place great emphasis on your privacy and protecting your personal details.
I’ve lived in Charlton Kings with my husband and various pets for the last ten years, and, beyond massage, have a passion for languages, travelling, Agatha Christie and Eurovision! Travelling is a particularly passion, the world is such a varied place and it’s so enriching to see all the diversity out there and experience all of the different ways in which we live. In my spare time you’ll probably fine me walking our handsome Cockapoo (getting out and about is so good for mental health), planning a trip, or curled up on the sofa under a rug watching a Poirot or Miss Marple, with our gorgeous black cat curled up on my lap. Oh, and of course, some time is set aside for continuing to develop my knowledge of massage, and keep up with the latest developments and techniques.
